Dear MOP Foundation Supporters

Our four volunteer travelers have just returned to Australia after visiting the Missionaries of the Poor mission house in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia.

We appreciate your prayers for their safe journey back, as they felt God's guidance and protection throughout. It was remarkable to see that volcanic ash, flight delays, civil unrest, or floods in Bali did not stop them from having a wonderful experience serving alongside the Missionaries of the Poor.

Thanks be to God!

You can find all the updates from the mission trip on our Facebook page and some of the highlights below.

Plans are being made for a mission trip to Timor-Leste (and possibly Indonesia) in September next year. For details, please contact louis@mopfoundation.org.au.

Update on Children’s Sponsorship – Saburai, Timor-Leste

As you know, we are looking for support for the children's weekly Catechesis, English lessons, supplies, and feeding program for 80 local children.

We currently have 18 children sponsored monthly, and an additional 33 will receive funding for the month of October.

Together, as part of the Missionaries of the Poor community, we can support the spiritual, mental, and physical well-being of these children. These life and English lessons will also assist the children in their future pursuits.

Please consider sponsoring a child at the cost of $20 per month or a one-time donation of $20 for the month of October. Regular monthly or one-time donations can be made to our account (details below).

Supplies for Shipping Container

We are preparing to send another container to Timor-Leste next month and need your assistance! We are gathering medical supplies including paracetamol, ibuprofen, Voltaren gel, cough medicines, and cold and flu tablets.

Donations to buy medical supplies can be made via EFT to the account below (please use the reference MOP medical).

In anticipation of new brothers in Saburai, we are requesting donations of long khaki pants (sizes 28 to 30), plain white t-shirts, plain white fabric shirts (S, M), boxer briefs (S), short pants (below knee length), sports shoes, sandals and slippers (sizes 6 to 9), toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, shaving sticks and cream, and deodorants.

Please remember that all items must be new, as mandated by the Timor-Leste government.

The Brothers in Labuan Bajo require an electric drum pad set, which can also be sent in the container.

Please deliver your contributions to Our Lady of Lourdes, Sunnybank Parish (Media Room) on Sunday, 28th September 2025, at 11am. Thank you.

If you have any questions or need more information, feel free to contact me at louis@mopfoundation.org.au or call 0412 073 965.

Blessings and Peace,

Louis Lamuri
