Dear Supporters,
Exciting updates on our mission in Saburai, Timor-Leste!
The Brothers are diligently working toward the grand opening of the newly built Monastery, scheduled for late April 2025. Their efforts also include addressing the medical needs of the Saburai community, supporting and guiding 35 new brothers in their spiritual journey, and planning the construction of the Apostolate—a permanent residence for those in dire need.
We are incredibly thankful for the generosity of our partner charities. A special thanks to Someone Who Cares for donating a container and to Mercy Ships for covering the shipment costs. These partnerships are truly a blessing to our mission, and we deeply appreciate Tony Harris for making this possible.
The container is set to ship next month, and we need your help! We are collecting medical supplies such as paracetamol, ibuprofen, Voltaren gel, cough medicines, and cold and flu tablets.
For the 50 brothers in Saburai, we are asking for donations of long khaki pants (sizes 28-30), plain white t-shirts, plain white fabric shirts (S, M), boxer briefs (S), short pants (below knee length), sandals and slippers (sizes 7, 8), toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, shaving sticks and cream, deodorant, and Rosaries. These are ongoing needs. Additionally, for the opening ceremony, we require 7 dozen spoons, knives, and forks.
Please note that all items must be new, as required by the Timor-Leste government.
Kindly drop off your contributions at Our Lady of Lourdes, Sunnybank Parish (Media Room) on Saturday, 1st March 2025, at 5.30pm, or on Sunday, 2nd March 2025, at 9.30am and 5.30pm. Your support and prayers mean the world to us.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Louis Lamuri via return email or call 0412 073 965.
