Dear MOP Foundation Supporters

We hope this message finds you well.

The Missionaries of the Poor (MOP) in Timor-Leste are making incredible progress on the Chapel in Saburai, thanks to a generous $50,000 donation (through QMHR) from our benefactor couple in Toowoomba.

MOP continues to serve children and those suffering from leprosy. Every Wednesday, they hold sessions for those afflicted and run a Catechism class for children in the afternoon. On Saturdays, they offer English courses for the children. After classes, the children enjoy lunch, while snacks are provided after the Catechism class.

Children’s Sponsorship – Saburai, Timor-Leste

We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully sponsored 80 children for weekly Catechesis, English lessons, and a feeding program at the MOP mission in Saburai, Timor-Leste. Praise be to God!

Thank you for your prayers and to those who have generously contributed. It's not too late to sponsor more children, as the MOP Brothers report a growing number of attendees. In the photos below, one week they had 98 attending the Wednesday class and 130 on the Saturday.

Christmas Feeding Program

Each Christmas, we support the MOP missions.

This year, the mission in Saburai, Timor-Leste is seeking help for three feeding programs: for children, the poor elderly, and those with leprosy.

Please consider supporting the impoverished people of Saburai as part of your Christmas giving. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to support over 1,000 people (600 children, 400 elderly, 100 suffering from leprosy) through the Christmas program.

With just $5, you can provide food and Christmas joy to one person. All funds will be sent by 15 December 2025.

Containers Recycling

We're pleased to inform you that the MOP Australian Foundation is a registered cause in Queensland under the container recycling initiative. Please quote our member number C11658801 to donate your recycling in Queensland, Australia.

We remind you of our planned mission trip to Timor-Leste (and possibly Indonesia) in September next year. Registrations are now open via email at louis@mopfoundation.org.au.

If you have questions or need more information, feel free to email us or call 0412 073 965.

Blessings and Peace,

Louis Lamuri
